Information Note on the New Regulation regarding Short Time Work

The Regulation on Procedures and Principles Regarding Short-Time Work and Short-Time Work Allowance (“Regulation”) has been published in the Official Gazette dated 11.06.2024 and numbered 32573, and entered into force to be effective as of 01.03.2024.

The Regulation repeals the Regulation on Short-Time Work and Short-Time Work Allowance dated 30.04.2011 (“Repealed Regulation”) and sets out the procedures and principles regarding short-time work and introduces new provisions different from the Repealed Regulation by taking into account some of the issues experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic and in the aftermath of the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş that occurred on 6 February 2023.
